    GREENSBORO, N.C. -- After nearly three weeks off of competition, Northwestern returned to action Friday, playing at the 17th annual Bryan National Collegiate in Greensboro, N.C. Played on the par-72, 6,386-yard Champions Course at the Bryan Park Golf and Enrichment Center, No. 17 NU is part of a strong field that includes a number of highly-ranked teams.

    Sophomore Kaitlin Park led the Wildcats in the opening round as she is tied for 10th, scoring a 1-over 73. She began the day on hole No. 10 and utilized two birdies on the back nine to counter a double-bogey. She wrapped up the round with eight pars and a bogey.

    Junior Hana Lee is close behind Park, finishing the round with a 3-over 75 to tie for 25th. She had a team-best three birdies, including back-to-back on the sixth and seventh holes.

    As a team, Northwestern carded an 18-over 306 on Friday and is in 16th place, but the Wildcats are not far behind the rest of the field as just nine strokes separate fourth-place Louisville (297, +9) from NU. Duke leads the field at 4-over 292.

    Complete NU results from the first round of the Bryan National Collegiate are below. Saturday’s second round begins with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. ET/7:30 a.m. CT.
