EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern field hockey senior Chelsea Armstrong has been named the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week for the 14th time in her career and the fourth time this season the conference office announced Tuesday.

She helped lead the Wildcats to a 2-1 victory over No. 20 Michigan State as well as a 6-0 Senior Day victory over Missouri State.

The Perth, Australia, native collected the game-winning goal in Northwestern's narrow win over the Spartans on Friday before having a memorable day on Sunday. Armstrong tallied two goals in each half with the final one being the 100th of her storied career. She is just the ninth player in NCAA history to reach the milestone.

Her final goal of the game was also her 29th of the season which broke the previous NU single-season record of 28 that was established by Lisa Griswold in 1983. Armstrong's 29 goals lead the nation.

Northwestern (16-2, 4-1), ranked No. 8 in this week's NFHCA poll, has won its last eight matches and 15 of its last 16 heading into this Sunday's regular-season finale at Iowa. A victory would give the Wildcats at least a share of their first Big Ten title since 1994.
