EVANSTON, Ill. -- Senior Chelsea Armstrong (Perth, Australia/Penrhos) continued Northwestern's dominance over the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week award as she earned this week's honor the conference office announced Tuesday.

It is the third straight week that an NU player earned the distinction. Armstrong was recognized on Sept. 4, while Tara Puffenberger brought home the honor a week ago. For Armstrong, it is the 12th time in her illustrious career that she has captured the award.

She opened the week with a dominant performance in Northwestern's 5-2 win at Wake Forest on Sept. 11. Armstrong had a hat trick by the completion of the first half and finished with four goals and an assist to lead the Wildcats to their fourth win over a ranked opponent already this season. It marked her fourth career four-goal game.

In Saturday's home-opener against Ball State, she tallied two more goals as the 'Cats rolled to an 8-0 victory. In the contest, Armstrong became just the fourth player in Big Ten history to eclipse 200 career points.

So far this season, she leads the Big Ten with 13 goals and 30 points and has career totals of 84 goals and 203 points.

Northwestern (8-1), ranked 10th in this week's NFHCA coaches poll, takes a seven-match winning streak into Friday's Big Ten opener at Ohio State.
