EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern junior Nikki Parsley (Milford, Del./Milford) is one of 18 individuals who have been selected to represent USA Field Hockey at the upcoming Four Nations Tournament in Auckland, New Zealand.

The competition, which also includes Argentina, Korea and host New Zealand is being held April 4-21.

Parsley is one of just five current collegiate players on the roster, joining Caitlyn Van Sickle and Emma Bozek of North Carolina, Maxine Fluharty of Maryland and Amanda Fleischut of Drexel.

"I am excited for Nikki to represent the USA with the National Team," said Northwestern head coach Tracey Fuchs. "She has worked incredible hard and she will gain valuable experience playing against some of the top teams in the world. It is an amazing opportunity and very few athletes get to wear the American jersey and represent their country at this level."

The United States is slated to open the first half of the tournament against Argentina on April 10. The U.S. will then take on two other top world-ranked opponents, Korea and New Zealand, on April 11 and April 13, respectively, and wrap up the first half of the tour on April 14. The second Four Nations Tournament will commence on April 17 with the U.S. facing Korea, followed by New Zealand on April 18. Team USA will have a rest day before facing Argentina on April 20 and a "playoff" round on April 21.

Parsley represented the United States internationally last September at the Junior Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico. During that tournament, Parsley was the team's leading scorer, posting eight goals while helping the U.S. to a third-place finish.

At Northwestern, she is a two-time first-team All-Big Ten and NFHCA All-West Region selection. A year ago, she helped the Wildcats to a 16-4 overall record.
