EVANSTON, Ill.-- Junior Alison Bullock (Boyds, Md./Stone Ridge) scored three goals for Northwestern in its 5-2 victory over Ball State on Monday at Lakeside Field.

In the opening minutes of the game, Ball State (1-4) took a 1-0 lead, but a penalty stroke by Amanda Care (Newtown, Pa./Pennsbury) tied the score at 1-1 in the 28th minute. Less than two minutes after Care's strike, Annie Bosslet (Granite City, Ill./Villa Duchesne (Mo.)) netted another goal for the 'Cats (3-1), which would turn out to be the game-winner.

Bullock then erupted follwoing halftime scoring a minute into the second frame, then again in the 55th minute and in the 59th minute to close out the 5-2 victory for NU.

For Care, it was the second goal scored in as many games. Before the contest against Northeastern, Care had not scored a goal since her freshman year. Bullock's goals meanwhile, equaled her career total as she put three into the back of the cage in her first two seasons combined.
