EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern's women's fencing team opened the 2006 USFCA College Fencing Coaches Poll at No. 7. The Wildcats are 12-1 in 2005-06 with its only loss to the No. 1 ranked team Notre Dame.

The Big Ten is well represented in the first poll of the new year, as Penn State sits at No. 2 and Ohio State is ranked fourth. A complete list of the top-10 is below.
