    UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Northwestern traveled to University Park, Pa., this past weekend to compete in the Penn State Open. Sam Nemecek (Caledonia, Mich./Caledonia), Camille Provencal-Dayle (St. Paul, Minn./Central) and Devynn Patterson (Seattle, Wash./Roosevelt) each placed among the top-16 in the women's foil, with Joanna Niklinska (Granger, Ind./Penn) finishing in the top-16 of women's epée. In the sabre, Whitney White (Wyckoff, N.J./Ramapo) highlighted the day for the Wildcats, placing eighth, with teammates Liz Sachs (Plano, Texas/Greenhill) and Allie Keller (Concord, Mass./Concord-Carlisle Regional) placing in the top-16.

    NU fencers will return to action this weekend in St. Louis, Mo., competing at the Junior North American Cup. Action gets underway Friday, Nov. 7, and concludes Monday, Nov. 10.
