Northwestern embarks on its first road trip of the season, traveling to Chestnut Hill, Mass., for its matchup with Boston College in the sixth annual ACC/Big Ten Challenge. Game time is set for 6 p.m. CT inside the Conte Forum.
LAST TIME OUT
Four Northwestern starters finished in double-figures as the 'Cats rolled to an 80-53 victory over Loyola Sunday afternoon at Welsh-Ryan Arena. Sophomore guard Karly Roser highlighted the NU victory with a double-double, scoring 13 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Senior forward/center Dannielle Diamant led all scorers with 18 points as the Wildcats improved to 5-0 on the season.
Northwestern used pressure defense to limit Loyola to just 34.4 percent shooting in the game. The 'Cats also forced the Ramblers into 15 turnovers and held a 43-29 rebounding advantage.
Northwestern posted an interesting stat in its 83-75 victory over Yale last Wednesday with three Wildcats recording double-doubles. Kendall Hackney and Dannielle Diamant each scored 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds while freshman forward Lauren Douglas had her second career double-double, finishing with 12 points and 10 rebounds. A fourth player, Karly Roser, was close to a double-double, tallying 11 points and seven assists.
In total, NU players have combined for six double-doubles in four of the five games so far this season:
NEARING TRIPLE-DOUBLE TERRITORY
While the Wildcats have pulled in a number of double-doubles, sophomore guard Karly Roser has been close on multiple occasions to recording her first career triple-double. The Hamilton, Ontario, native opened up the season with a 11 assists, two off her career high of 13 set during her freshman year, to go along with nine points and seven rebounds. She then came close again vs. Loyola (11/25) with 13 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists. Roser has four games in her young Wildcat career with double-digit assists (three in 2011-12, one this season).
Roser is one of the best floor generals in the Big Ten and currently leads the conference with her 8.0 assists per game average. She also ranks fifth in the Big Ten in assist-to-turnover ratio at 2.2 (40 assists, 18 turnovers).

All-Time Series Record: Tied 2-2 (Last Meeting in 2010-11 Season)
Notable: Boston College went 1-1 at the Seattle University Tournament over the Thanksgiving Holiday. The Eagles opened with a 54-48 loss to Sacred Heart but bounced back, defeating Portland, 68-40. Freshman guard Nicole Boudreau leads BC with 13.0 points per game while three others are averaging at least 10.0 points per game. The Eagles are limiting opponents to just 52.2 points per game.
DOUGLAS NAMED B1G FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK (AGAIN)
Forward Lauren Douglas is this week's Big Ten Freshman of the Week, following her 10.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, 3.0 blocks, 2.3 assists and 2.3 steals per game averages in two NU victories last week. Douglas has been named freshman of the week two of the first three weeks of the season, also taking home the award on Nov. 12.
Northwestern is on the road for the next two games, but stays somewhat close to home. The Wildcats take in cross-town rival DePaul Sunday at 4 p.m. on the Blue Demons' home court and then have a few days to prepare for Illinois State on Friday, Dec. 7 at 7:05 p.m.
