EVANSTON, Ill. – The Big Ten Conference announced today that Northwestern forward Lauren Douglas has been selected as the Conference’s inaugural Freshman of the Week for the 2012-13 campaign after helping to lead the Wildcats to a pair of season-opening victories.

Douglas a 6-foot-1 forward from Collierville, Tenn. and Briarcrest Christian High School, opened her career by filling the box score with seven points, six rebounds, six assists and two steals in Northwestern’s 2012-13 opener against Tennessee-Martin on Nov. 9.
