2014 Big Ten Network Schedule • 2013-14 Northwestern Women's Basketball Schedule
EVANSTON, Ill. -- The Big Ten Network announced its full schedule for the 2013-14 season and the Wildcats will make a number of appearances. Six of Northwestern’s regular-season conference games will air live on the network, with a possibility of two more being picked up later in the Big Ten slate.
The first televised game of the year 2014 features Northwestern as the Wildcats open the New Year and the Big Ten slate at Nebraska. Tip is set for 8 p.m. CT on Thursday, Jan. 2.
Northwestern is then back on the BTN later in the month as it visits Purdue on Jan. 23 for a 6 p.m. game. The Wildcats have four appearances on the network during the month of February, with a chance of an additional game later in the month and the regular-season finale in Madison in March. NU will have four-straight games on the small screen as its contests at Iowa (Feb. 10, 6 p.m.), against Minnesota (Feb. 15, 2:30 p.m.), at Penn State (Feb. 20, 6 p.m.) and at Ohio State (Feb. 23, 11 a.m.) will air live on the Big Ten Network.
Additionally, the Big Ten Network could pick up Northwestern’s regular-season home finale on Feb. 27 vs. Michigan State along with the final regular season game of the year at Wisconsin on March 2. BTN will televise two of the four games on Feb. 27 while the other two will be streamed live on the Big Ten Digital Network. On March 3, three of the four games will air live on the Network with the other streamed by the BTDN.
For the seventh consecutive season, every game of the Big Ten Women’s Basketball Tournament, which will take place March 6-9 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, will be televised to a national audience. BTN will carry the first 10 games of the tournament, while the championship game will be televised by ESPN at noon CT on Sunday, March 9.
Additional Northwestern women’s basketball games will be broadcast via webstream on the Big Ten Digital Network, along with Wildcats All-Access. That schedule will be released at a later date.
