Follow Roser at the 36th William Jones Cup
TAIPEI, Taiwan -- Northwestern senior point guard Karly Roser is currently in Taipei, Taiwan, competing with Canada Basketball at the 36th William Jones International Basketball Tournament. The Hamilton, Ontario native, is part of the Senior B Women’s National Team, led by head coach Fabian McKenzie.
"We are looking forward to our trip to Taipei to represent Canada Basketball in the Jones Cup,” McKenzie said. “Our team has put in a tremendous amount of work throughout training camp and is ready to put what they have learned into action. I have been very impressed with the performance of our group and I am excited to see them play.”
Roser and her teammates opened up with a 70-63 win over Chinese Taipei-B and the Wildcat senior tied for the team lead in scoring with 12 points. She also added five rebounds and three assists while shooting 71 percent from the field and 2-of-3 from 3-point range.

Previously this summer, Roser played with the Canadian Senior Women’s National Team at the Edmonton Grads International Classic exhibition series. The 5-foot-10 guard was an All-Big Ten selection in 2013 and has played 73 games throughout her three seasons with the Wildcats with career averages of 7.7 ppg, 3.6 rpg and 5.0 apg. Roser is one of two seniors that will provide veteran leadership on the 2014-15 Northwestern women’s basketball squad.
