Season tickets for the Northwestern women cost just $49, while youth are $29. Also on sale is a season-ticket family plan for $99 which admits two adults and three children.
The full 2014-15 schedule will be announced in the coming weeks but it will include 14 regular-season home games at Welsh-Ryan Arena. Included in those contests are nine Big Ten matchups as Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Nebraska along with conference newcomers Maryland and Rutgers will visit Evanston this year.
Fans will also have the opportunity to take part in a completely new game day experience at Welsh-Ryan Arena with the addition of four high-definition quality video boards. A center-hung two-sided display will face the north and south sides of the arena with each of the two boards measuring 23 feet wide and covering 280 square feet. Additionally, boards will be mounted on both the east and west walls of the facility behind each basket. Those displays are 25 feet wide and cover 238 square feet.
Head coach Joe McKeown is entering his seventh season in Evanston and has a number of playmakers returning to his squad for 2014-15, including all five starters and five All-Big Ten honorees. Included in that group is rising sophomore Nia Coffey, who was a First Team All-Big Ten recipient as a freshman while leading the ’Cats in scoring and rebounding. Two All-Big Ten point guards, sophomore Ashley Deary and senior Karly Roser (2013 All-Big Ten), will hold steady in the NU backcourt while rising junior All-Big Ten recipients Maggie Lyon and Lauren Douglas are also back this season. Two other starters, senior forward/center Alex Cohen and sophomore guard Christen Inman will also be valuable members of the rotation this season.
Northwestern returned to the postseason during the 2013-14 campaign, advancing to the third round of the WNIT. Along the way, the ’Cats utilized their home court advantage at Welsh-Ryan Arena to upset three top-25 opponents and win 13 home games. The Wildcats look to expand on last year’s success as they return 95 percent of their scoring, 94 percent of their rebounding and 98.6 percent of their blocks from a year ago.
Be a part of the home court advantage at Welsh-Ryan Arena this year and secure your seats today to catch the ’Cats in 2014-15!
