EVANSTON, Ill. -- Head coach Joe McKeown announced today (June 23) the addition of Lydia Rohde (Brookfield, Wis./Brookfield Central) to the Northwestern women’s basketball team for the 2014-15 season. The 5-foot-10 guard joins a trio of Wildcat freshmen, Alexis Glasgow (Arlington Heights, Ill./Rolling Meadows), Morgan Green (Santa Cruz, Calif./Pacific Collegiate) and Maya Jonas (Whitefish Bay, Wis./Whitefish Bay), who signed National Letters of Intent in November.

An Associated Press All-State honoree in 2014, Rohde helped lead Brookfield Central to the Division I sectional finals. She also received WBCA Division I All-State honors and was selected as a top senior Shooter as part of the Wisconsin Sports Network Senior Girls Basketball Awards. Rohde averaged a team-high 13.8 ppg, while shooting 46.0 percent from 3-point range, and added close to 4.0 assists per game during her senior season. She recorded 41 3-pointers during the 14-game conference season to lead the entire Greater Metro Conference.

Academically, Rohde was part of a Brookfield Central squad that received the Academic All-State silver medal by the WBCA. The Lancers were one of three Division I teams in Wisconsin honored by the WBCA for academic excellence.
