PARK RIDGE, Ill. -- Juniors Dannielle Diamant and Kendall Hackney and freshman Morgan Jones were honored by the League coaches and media, the Big Ten Conference announced today (Feb. 27). Diamant was a third-team All-Big Ten selection by the coaches and an honorable mention honoree by the media. Hackney joined Diamant in receiving an honorable mention nod from the media. Jones, meanwhile, earned honorable mention accolades from the coaches and also was named to the All-Freshman team roster.

Diamant led the Wildcats (14-15) in scoring and rebounding during the Conference season, posting 15.5 ppg and 7.7 rpg., which were good for eighth and seventh, respectively in the Big Ten. She posted a team-high four double-doubles and reached the 20-point plateau on four occasions. The forward finished the regular season ninth in the Big Ten in free-throw percentage, connecting on 81 percent of her attempts. It is the first such honor for Diamant.

Hackney's recognition marks the second time the Cincinnati, Ohio, native has been named an honorable mention honoree. The forward has been the Wildcats' leading scorer all season, wrapping up the regular season averaging 15.2 ppg, which ranks ninth in the League. Hackney is third on the team in rebounding, and has logged the most minutes, averaging 33.8 per outing.

Jones rounds out NU's list of honorees, appearing as an honorable mention pick and a member of the All-Freshman team. She follows in the footsteps of Hackney and former Wildcat Amy Jaeschke as a member of the rookie team. Jones, who finished second on the team in scoring with 14.1 ppg, was named the Conference's Freshman of the Week on four occasions throughout the season. She also is the only rookie to appear in the Big Ten's top 20 in both scoring (14.1 ppg; 12th) and rebounding (6.0 rpg; 17th).
