    Northwestern Womenís Hoops Falls to Purdue, 81-64

    EVANSTON, Ill. -- The Northwestern women's basketball team dropped a tightly contested game Tuesday night to the #24 Purdue Boilermakers, 81-64, Tuesday night.

    NU pulled to within seven on a Dana Leonard jumper, two of her 13 points on the night, with 12:25 left in the game, but Purdue pulled away behind 23 points from guard Stephanie White.

    Despite fouling out with 9:32 left, guard Amber DeWall managed a team-high five assists and seven points. Forward Kristina Divjak had a team high 17 points and six rebounds and guard Megan Chawansky chipped in with 16 points.

    The ëCats fall to 5-12 overall, 0-5 in the Big Ten.

    The Wildcats next face Wisconsin on Friday, Jan. 16, at 7 p.m. in Welsh-Ryan Arena.
