    Northwestern Falls at Southwestern Missouri State

    SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Forward Kristina Divjak scored 29 points as the Wildcats battled back from a seven point halftime deficit, but fell just short, losing 73-70 at Southwest Missouri State on Saturday.

    SMS controlled the first half, with NU struggling offensively. Divjak scored 18 of the Wildcats 33 first half points, while Amber DeWall nailed a three pointer at the end of the half.

    The 'Cats rallied in the second half, going on a 11-3 run to take a 44-43 lead. SMS then took control, leading 70-59 with 5:06 left. NU closed the gap to 71-70 on a Mary Conolly jumper with 15 seconds left. Dijvak's desperation shot at the buzzer rimmed out, giving the Lady Bears a 73-70 win. SMS improves to 4-0 while NU drops to 2-5.

    Megan Chawansky had 14 points and a team-high nine boards, while Connolly scored 10 points off the bench.
