    COLUMBIA, Mo. -- Despite a double-double performance by senior Ifeoma Okonkwo (Spring Texas/Klein Oak), Northwestern fell to Missouri, 87-64 Tuesday night at Mizzou Arena. The Wildcats are now 1-1 on the season, while Missouri evens its record to 2-2.

    Junior A.J. Glasauer (Frieiburg, Germany/Theodor-Heuss Gymnasium) and Okonkwo both recorded a team-high 16 points. Okonkwo also was the Wildcats leading rebounder, pulling down 11 boards, the final piece for her fourth career double-double.

    Sophomore floor general Nadia Bibbs (Chicago, Ill./Hillcrest/Boston University) joined Glasauer and Okonkwo in double figures with 13 points and added both a game-high six assists and six steals. Melissa Miller (Bloomington, Minn./The Breck School) chipped in a career-high three blocks on the night.

    Northwestern fell behind early, but Bibbs took the team on her shoulders to close out the first half, recording two steals, two assists and seven points.

    The Wildcats came out of halftime with renewed spark, outscoring the Tigers in the second half, 43-41 and shooting 51.6 percent from the field compared to the MU's 44.8 percent.

    Northwestern also shot a scorching 11-of-12 from the line in the second stanza, boosting the final free throw percentage to an impressive 88 percent (15-of-17) on the evening.

    The Wildcats are next in action at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 26 at Illinois-Chicago.
