Tickets to the 2011 Big Ten Wrestling Championships officially went on sale to the general public on Monday, Dec. 20. Fans interested in purchasing tickets should call the Northwestern ticket office at 888-GO-PURPLE. Fans are permitted to request seats in a specific school's seating block.

Fans who submitted their initial request for tickets with an email to wrestling.northwestern@gmail.com will be contacted shortly by a member of the Northwestern ticket sales staff.

Welsh-Ryan has been the home of NU wrestling since the late 1950s, and fans have been treated to some of the best amateur wrestling from around the nation. Every season in late December, the Midlands Championships draws thousands of fans to Welsh-Ryan.

From Chicago: Take either Lake Shore Drive or I-90/94 (Kennedy). If you go the Lake Shore Drive route, follow LSD until it ends and merges with Sheridan Road. Take Sheridan north through Evanston (follow the signs as Sheridan winds through south Evanston). Turn left on Central Street, just north of the main campus. Go west approximately one mile to Ryan Field.

If you take the expressway, stay on the Kennedy until I-90 and 94 split. Take I-94 West (Edens) toward Milwaukee. Exit on Old Orchard Road and proceed east. Turn left on Gross Point Road and then turn right at the next light which is Central Street. Proceed approximately two miles to Ashland Street.

From the North: Take I-94 (Edens) East. Exit on Skokie Blvd. And turn left at stop light at Lake Avenue. Go east on Lake to Green Bay Road. Turn right and proceed south to Central Street. Turn left and go east approximately one-half mile to Ashland Street. Turn left. Rocky Miller Park is on the corner of Ashland and Isabella Streets.

From O'Hare International Airport: Exit the airport and take I-294 North. Exit on Dempster Street east and proceed several miles until you reach I-94. Take I-94 West and exit and turn right on Old Orchard Road. Proceed east and turn left on Gross Point Road. Take the next right on Central Street and head east approximately two miles to Ashland Street.
