    EVANSTON, Ill. – The No. 13 Northwestern Wildcats begin the home portion of their Big Ten Conference schedule Saturday. NU hosts No. 23 Indiana at 3:30 p.m. CT live on the Big Ten Network. 

    Saturday’s match between the Hoosiers and Wildcats is the 80th dual meet in the series between the schools. Northwestern has won the last three meetings, including a 32-6 win in Bloomington, Ind. last season.

    Saturday’s match against Indiana airs live on the Big Ten Network, with Tim Johnson and Jim Gibbons with the call. Shane Sparks will be reporting live from matside during the match.

    In addition to televising the finals session of the 51st Ken Kraft Midlands Championships, Saturday’s dual against Indiana is the first of five times Northwestern wrestling will be featured on the Big Ten Network or the Big Ten Digital Network on Wildcats All-Access (BTDN).

    The Wildcats will also face Minnesota on Friday, Jan. 10 at 7:00 p.m. CT at Welsh-Ryan Arena, which will air live on the Big Ten Digital Network on Wildcats All-Access (BTDN).

    Also at Welsh-Ryan Arena this season, NU’s match against Iowa on Friday, Jan. 31 at 7:00 p.m. CT will air on the BTDN.

    Northwestern wrestling fans will have two opportunities to catch the Wildcats on the road this season. The two road matches airing live on the BTDN for NU will be at Penn State on Sunday, Jan. 19 at 1:00 p.m. and at Illinois on Sunday, Feb. 9 at 2:00 p.m. CT. 

    The final session of the 2014 Big Ten Wrestling Championships will be televised live at 2 PM ET on Sunday, March 9.

    Midlands Rewind
    Northwestern hosted the 51st Ken Kraft Midlands Championships at Welsh-Ryan Arena from Dec. 29-30, 2013. 

    Northwestern registered 63.5 points to finish in seventh place with more than 50 teams competing.

    Pierce Harger led all Wildcats by finishing in fourth place at 165 lbs., the best Midlands showing of the NU junior's career.

    NU wrestlers Jason Tsirtsis (149 lbs.) and Alex Polizzi (197 lbs.) each took fifth in their respective weight classes, while senior Pat Greco battled to sixth despite entering the tournament seeded 12th at 141 pounds and going toe-to-toe with the top two seeds along the way.

    Indiana Scouting Report
    The Hoosiers return to Welsh-Ryan Arena after competing in the 51st Ken Kraft Midlands Championships at Welsh-Ryan Arena Dec. 29-30, 2013. 

    At 157 lbs., No. 5 Taylor Walsh reached the finals and finished in second place to Iowa’s defending national champion No. 1 Derek St. John. Walsh won the tournament’s Gorriaran Memorial Award by posting four falls in 10:53.

    Ethan Raley (141 lbs.) finished at fifth place and Rylan LeBlanc (165 lbs.) earned a seventh place finish at Midlands.

    For the Hoosiers, Luke Sheridan (No. 19, 184 lbs.) and Adam Chalfant (No. 8, HWY) also rank in the Top 20.
