2011-12: Finished first season with a 24-12 overall record and 9-6 mark in dual action at 174 ... Qualified for first NCAA championships with a fourth-place finish at Big Ten's ... 2011 Midlands Champion, helping Northwestern place second, its best finish in school history ... Went 5-0 at Midlands en route to his title, including a 7-3 decision over Iowa's No. 8 Ethen Lofthouse in the finals ... Named CollegeSports360.com's Primetime Performer of the Week (Jan. 3) after Midlands title ... Wrestled his first match of the season against 2011 NCAA Champion and then-No. 1 Nick Amuchastegui of Stanford ... Finished second at the Michigan State Open and Keystone Classic ...
