    Will Durkee enters his third season as a member of the Northwestern coaching staff after one season as a volunteer coach and one year (2008-09) as a full-time staff member. Durkee has played a key role in developing NU's middle weights in recent years, including 2009 NCAA qualifier Jason Welch (157) and 2009 Big Ten sixth-place finisher Andrew Nadhir (149).

    During his collegiate career, Durkee was an NCAA qualifier while wrestling as a graduate student for Northwestern (2006-07) following his career as a three-year starter at Virginia, where he was selected as a team captain in 2005.

    Durkee wrestled for Shadyside Academy (Pa.) in high school, where he was a Pennsylvania state champion and High School All-American during an undefeated 47-0 senior campaign. Durkee was also a titlist at the Virginia Intercollegiate State Wrestling Championships.

    During the 2006-07 season, Will played an instrumental role in helping the Wildcat Wrestling Club function as one of the elite wrestling clubs in the nation. He has gained additional coaching experience as a counselor with J Robinson Wrestling Camps (2002-03) and UVA Wrestling Camps (2003-04).

    Durkee graduated from the University of Virginia in 2006 with a degree in economics.
