Northwestern head men's tennis coach Arvid Swan has announced the signing of Logan Staggs to a National Letter of Intent to join the Wildcats for the 2014-15 season.
"We are thrilled to add Logan to our team," Swan said. "Logan is an immediate impact player for us and is a perfect fit for our program. He will bring competitiveness and toughness in every practice and match. Logan is the type of player who will help elevate our program to the next level."
Rated as a blue chip recruit by TennisRecruiting.net, Staggs has been ranked as high as the No. 8 recruit in the nation. He is currently ranked No. 20 in the Boys 18s rankings and was as high as No. 3 in the Boys 16 rankings.
Staggs is currently ranked No. 1 in Northern California in both singles and doubles. His resume includes 13 local and national tournament wins in 2012 and 2013.
Northwestern is coming off a 22-10 dual meet season in 2013 with the win total ranking as the second-highest in school history. The Wildcats posted a final ITA team ranking of No. 32 while advancing to the second round of the NCAA tournament.
