EVANSTON, Ill. -- Playing its final tournament of the fall individual season, Northwestern heads to the campus of Michigan State this weekend to compete in the 2010 Big Ten Indoor Championships. Play begins Friday with doubles action at 8 a.m. CT followed by singles competition the ensuing three days.
The tournament consists of a 64-player Flight A singles bracket -- which features six Northwestern players -- a seven-player Flight B draw, and two doubles compass draws with 16 tandems each.
NU junior Joshua Graves received the No. 2 overall seed for the Flight A singles draw and will begin his tournament Saturday at 10 a.m. CT when he squares off with Indiana's Dimitrije Tasic.
Last season, three NU players advanced as far as the singles consolation semifinals.
Graves will team up with sophomore Spencer Wolf in flight A doubles as the two look to build off a strong effort at the ITA Midwest Regionals a week ago. They represent the lone NU duo in the flight A draw.
Complete draws for the event are available in PDF format at the top of the page. Continue to check NUsports.com throughout the weekend for results and schedules.
