EVANSTON, Ill. -- Fresh off an NCAA Tournament berth, Northwestern head men's tennis coach Arvid Swan released the team's full 2012-13 schedule Friday. Thirteen of Northwestern's opponents on the docket also qualified for the NCAA Tournament and 10 of them finished the season ranked in the top 40 in last season's final Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) team poll.
"The schedule we have prepared is one of the best that we've had during my time here at Northwestern," said Swan. "In order to achieve the success we are looking for, we need to challenge ourselves against some of the top programs in the country. Our entire program is looking forward to taking the test, it's time to take the next step."
To begin the fall season select members of the team will travel to Tulsa, Okla. for the ITA All-American Championships. Prequalifying begins on Sept. 29 with the main draw slated to commence on Oct. 4 and continue through Oct. 7.
