No. 28 Wildcat Men's Tennis Defeats Penn State, 6-1
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The Northwestern men's tennis team, ranked No. 28 nationally, defeated Penn State, 6-1. With the win the 'Cats improve to 14-4 overall and 7-2 in the Big Ten. NU swept five of six singles matches and the doubles point en route to the victory. Silva, who is ranked No. 22 nationally, won his fifth-consecutive match by defeating Mike Griesser at No. 1 singles (6-1, 6-3). Silva now has won 21 of his last 22 matches. At No. 2 singles, Witt defeated Colin Sweeton, 6-2, 7-6 (4), to capture his ninth-consecutive win on the season.
NU hosts Wisconsin on Sun., April 26 in its last dual match of the year.
