    TULSA, Okla. -- The men's tennis team went 4-for-4 as each Northwestern competitor achieved a win in the first round of prequalifying at the ITA All-American Championships.

    Sophomore Mihir Kumar defeated Indiana's Elliott Yee 6-3, 6-1. He will face Denver's Alex Clinkenbeard on Sunday morning.

    In a tight match, freshman Konrad Zieba edged Clement Homs from the University of Texas to win 6-7 (4), 7-6 (6), 7-5. Zieba will take on Joseph Van-Dooren of Auburn in the second round.

    Fellow classmate Sam Shropshire defeated 19th seeded Ettore Zito of Middle Tennessee 2-6, 6-2, 6-2. In the second round, Shropshire will challenge Fresno State's Adrian Du Toit.

    Though originally scheduled with an opponent, junior Alex Pasareanu advanced on a bye and will face Jacoby Lewis from the University of Texas.
