WACO, Texas -- Northwestern junior tennis player Spencer Wolf (Coral Gables, Fla./Laurel Springs) posted a pair of victories in singles play at the 11th annual Baylor-HEB Invitational and has advanced to Saturday's round of 16.

In his first match of the day, Wolf disposed of UT-San Antonio's Kolby Kilgo, 6-2, 6-2. The junior moved to this afternoon's round of 32 where he faced off against Louisiana-Lafayette's Elliot Minvielle. Wolf claimed the first set, 6-3, and blanked Minvielle in the second, 6-0 to advance once again.

Joshua Graves is the lone other Wildcat in the 64-player singles field. The senior took the first set in his morning match against Oklahoma's Tsvetan Mihov, 6-3, before dropping the second and third sets by tallies of 7-5 and 6-1, respectively. In his consolation bracket match, Graves was forced to retire because of injury during the opening set versus Louisiana-Lafyaette's Damian Farinola.

Before singles play began Friday morning, the duo of Graves and Wolf teamed up for the open doubles tournament, as well. The pair fell to Maryland's team of Jess Kiuru and Andy Magee, 8-5.

Wolf will return to the court on Saturday at 10 a.m. where he will face either Oklahoma's Peerakit Siributwong. Siributwong is the field's sixth highest-rated player at No. 84 in the Campbell/ITA fall singles poll.
