MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -- Six Wildcats garnered first-team All-Big Ten accolades and a host of other awards as Northwestern left the Big Ten Championships as the most-honored squad in the Conference.

Senior Matt Wever; junior Ben Dexter; sophomores Mike Alexandrov and Matt Grevers; and freshmen Kyle Bubolz and David Kormushoff all garnered first-team All-Big Ten nods for NU. Michigan and Minnesota each put four on the first team while Indiana, Ohio State and Purdue combined for the final four spots.

Grevers was named Swimmer of the Championships after earning five Big Ten titles and two second-place finishes, setting three Big Ten records in the process.

Bubolz earned Big Ten Freshman of the Year honors, an award Grevers picked up last season. Bubolz won four Big Ten titles, including the individual gold in the 100 fly with a Big Ten record time of 46.46.

Fielding an entire squad of award-winners and record-setters, NU Head Coach Bob Groseth was honored as Big Ten Coach of the Year. The Wildcats won seven events at the Championships, the most of any school.
