    EVANSTON, Ill. - 22nd-ranked Northwestern defeated No. 21 Indiana in thrilling fashion 148-140 Saturday. With the meet still in jeopardy, the Wildcats claimed the victory in the final race of the meet, winning the 200 free relay with a time of 1:22.54.

    Shelby Clark, Matt Wever, Ben Dexter and Tony Swanson made up the relay team and came through with a meet-clinching performance.

    Swanson, who swam the first leg of the 200 free relay, also won the 100 back with a time of 50.13 and the 100 free, finishing in 45.48.

    Freshman Matt Grevers continued to impress, breaking his own pool record in the 100 back during his leg of the 400 medley relay with a time of 48.95. Grevers also won the 50 and 200 free as well as the 200 back.

    Louis Torres continued to dominate in the breaststroke, winning the 100 and 200 with times of 56.68 and 2:03.72, respectively.

    Senior Mark Hamming claimed first in the 100 fly with a mark of 49.69. Diver Mike Oxman won the 3-meter competition and placed second in the 1-meter event as well.

    The 'Cats head to Madison Thursday to face Wisconsin. The meet is set to begin at 5 p.m.
