Results vs. Western Kentucky
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – In the Wildcats first road meet of the year, NU defeated Western Kentucky 161-139 Friday at the Bill Powell Natatorium.
Western Kentucky began the event defeating NU in the 400 yard medley relay with a time of 3:17.93. Sophomore Jordan Wilimovsky won the Wildcats first individual event by swimming 9:18.09 in the 1,000 yard freestyle.

In the 200 yard freestyle, Chase Stephens won the event for NU, edging out the Hilltoppers’ Jesse Musser, with a time of 1:41.05 over 1:41.64. Keeping things close, Mark Ferguson earned the win for the ‘Cats in the 100 yard backstroke (49.61), beating WKU’s Seth Musser by 0.03.
NU’s Uula Auren won the 100 yard breaststroke (56.27), once against edging out WKU by 0.03.
After the Hilltoppers won the 200 yard butterfily, Chase Stephens recorded another win for the ‘Cats, swimming a 20.59 in the 50 yard freestyle. His 46.13 time in the 100 yard freestyle gave NU another victory.
Between events, Andrew Cramer earned a 306.05 score in 1-meter diving for Northwestern. WKU’s Giorgi Meyer finished n second with a 275.95. Cramer also won the 3-meter dive (355.70).
In the 200 yard backstroke, Van Donkersgoed won the event for NU with a time of 2:02.86.
Northwestern is back in action Friday, Nov. 8 in a dual meet against Big Ten rivals Purdue and Ohio State in West Lafayette, Ind. at 3:00 p.m. CT.
The ‘Cats return home to the Norris Aquatics Center hosting Wisconsin on Friday, Nov. 15 at 4:30 p.m. CT.
