Qualified for his first-career NCAA Championships, winning honorable-mention All-America honors in the 200 IM with a 15th-place finish ... Swam a career-best 1:44.69 in the prelims to make the consolation final of that event before turning in a 1:45.17 in the finals ... His prelim time gave him the No. 3 spot on NU's all-time top performers list in the 200 IM ... Also competed in the 400 IM (23rd) and 200 breast (31st) at the NCAA meet ... 2008-09: Important component of the Wildcats' freestyle, breaststroke and individual medley teams ... Swam in three events at the Big Ten Championships, including a fourth-place finish in the 400 IM and a seventh-place spot in the 200 IM ... NCAA `B' time of 3:47.96 in the 400 IM was good for second on NU's all-time top times list ... Notched fourth on NU's all-time top times list in the 200 IM with a `B' cut of 1:46.21 at the Big Ten meet ... Ranks fifth in NU history with a 2:00.01 in the 200 breast, also turned in at the conference meet ... Was first in the 200 IM at the TYR Invitational (11/21) while bringing home second-place marks in the 200 breast and 400 IM as well ... 2007-08: Emerged as part of a strong freshman distance duo for Northwestern along with Peter Park, while also adding depth for the Wildcats in the breaststroke ... Blazed to his first-career NCAA `B' provisional qualifying standard with a 3:52.88 in the prelims of the 400 IM at the Big Ten Championships to qualify for the consolation final, ending up 12th overall after his evening swim of 3:55.44 ... Took 24th overall in the 200 breast at the conference meet with a 2:02.42 ... Ranked first on NU's top times list for the year in the 400 IM, second in the 200 breast and third in the 100 breast, 500 free and 1,000 free ... Best dual-meet finish of the year was a second-place effort in the 100 breast against Illinois-Chicago (10/27) ... Also had a third-place finish in that meet in the 400 IM ... Qualified for the consolation finals in the 200 breast, 500 free and 400 IM at the Georgia Invitational (11/30-12/2).
