2013-14: Academic All-Big Ten ... Posted five NU top times in the 100 back, 200 back, 100 fly, 200 IM, and 200 fly ... Competed in the Big Ten Championships in the 100 fly, 100 back, and 200 back ... Scored two points for NU in the Consolation Final finishing 15th in the 200 back, posted a B cut time 1:45.27 first on the NU top times ... Finished 23rd overall and had NU fourth top time 49.22 in the 100 back ... Finished 21st overall and third in NU top times 48.45 in the 100 fly ... Competed in the TYR Finals in the 200 IM, 200 back, 100 back, 100 fly, and the 50 back ... Finished fifth in the 200 IM at the TYR finals posting NU second top time 1.51.25 ... Finished third in the 200 back at the TYR finals ... Finished second in the 200 back and the 200 fly vS. E. Mich./Illinois (10/18) ... 2012-13: Talented freshman backstroke and butterfly swimmer ... Ranked on Northwestern's top times list in five different events ... Had NU's best 200 back time and ranked second for the Wildcats in the 100 fly, 200 fly and 200 IM, and third in the 100 back ... Qualified for the bonus final in all three of his Big Ten Championships events ... Won the bonus heat of the 200 back with a career-best and NCAA `B' consideration time of 1:45.26 that was a full 1.06 seconds faster than his prelim effort ... Placed 19th overall in the 100 fly after a season-best 48.38 in the prelims and a 48.45 in the final ... Swam a 48.95 in the morning and a 49.39 at night to end up 23rd in the conference in the 100 back ... Had an outstanding meet at Northwestern's own four-team TYR Invitational (11/16-11/18), dropping huge amounts of time and earning four podium finishes ... Won the 200 back with a time of 1:47.77, 4.25 seconds faster than his swim in the prelims ... Captured second in the 50 back and the 100 fly, swimming a 49.61 during the finals of the latter that was 1.22 seconds quicker than his seed ... Touched in third place overall in the 100 back ... Also qualified for the consolation final of the 200 IM at the TYR meet following a sub-par prelim swim, but roared back to win the `B' heat in 1:53.50, which was 4.31 seconds faster than his morning effort ... Scored dual-meet points with 14 total top-five finishes during the fall ... Won the 200 back and captured second in the 100 back in a dual meet at Milwaukee (1/16).
High School: Ranked as the No. 16 overall recruit in the 2012 class by CollegeSwimming.com... Fastest 18-and-under backstroker in his native Great Britain, ranking fourth all-time in that nation ... Also a strong butterflyer ... Nominated for a Sporting Achiever "achievement over adversity" award in 2011 ... After breaking his elbow in 2010, he recovered enough to qualify for the British teams at the 2011 European Junior Championships and World Junior Championships, but a glandular fever rendered him bed-ridden for six weeks and a broken hand in practice caused him to again miss both meets ... On his 18th birthday, he cut off his own cast for a few days of swimming prior to the Commonwealth Youth Games on his native Isle of Man, winning three medals as the team's captain ... Swam club with Plymouth Leader/Isle of Man/Douglas as a prep athlete.
