    Four 'Cats Post NCAA `B' Cut Times at Big Ten Championships

    2011-12: Ranked on Northwestern's top times list in six different events ... Had NU's best efforts of the year in the 200 free and 500 free while ranking second in the 1,650 free, third in the 1,000 free, fourth in the 200 IM and fifth in the 100 breast ... Academic All-Big Ten ... The senior swam career-best times in all three of his Big Ten Championships events ... Qualified for the consolation final of the 200 free with a then-career best and NCAA `B' consideration time of 1:36.69 before lowering that to 1:36.65 to finish 12th ... Tallied another NCAA `B' cut in the 500 free with a career-best 4:23.31 ... Also competed in the 100 free (47th) at the Big Ten meet ... Swam with NU's 800 free relay at the Big Ten Championships, earning an `B' cut with the squad that currently ranks third on NU's all-time top times list in the event ... Anchored Northwestern's top 400 and 800 free relays of the fall, earning NCAA `B' provisional qualifying cuts at NU's own five-team TYR Invitational with both ... Earned a better `B' time with the 400 free relay against Denver and No. 25 Missouri, swimming a furious anchor leg to out-touch a Tiger opponent at the wall by .01 of a second to give the Wildcats an exciting win over their ranked foes ... Turned in a then-career-best 45.97 during the prelims of the 100 free at the TYR (11/20) ...     2010-11: Academic All-Big Ten ... Qualified for the bonus finals of the 200 free and the 500 free at the Big Ten Championships ... Swam a career-best and NCAA `B' provisional qualifying time of 1:38.26 to earn his bonus final slot in the 200 free, eventually placing 22nd ... Also turned in `B' cuts during both the prelims and finals of the 500 free, coming in 22nd overall after an evening swim of 4:26.52 ... Competed in the 100 free at the Big Ten meet, coming in 50th overall after a career-best 46.00 ... Anchored NU's 800 free relay at the conference meet, earning an NCAA `B' time with the squad that placed it fourth on NU's all-time top times list in the event ... Won the 200 free at Northwestern's own five-team TYR Invitational (11/19-11/21) ... Took fourth in the 500 free and 11th in the 100 free at the TYR ... Best dual-meet finishes were second-place efforts in the 200 free against Wisconsin (11/11) and at Iowa (01/22) ... Scored dual-meet points with 13 total top-five event finishes during the year.

    2009-10: Member of Northwestern's distance freestyle group ... Ranked second on NU's top times list for the year in the 200 free and third in the 1,650 free ... Swam with NU's top 800 free relay of the year, which earned an NCAA `B' provisional qualifying time at the Big Ten Championships ... Academic All-Big Ten ... Earned a second-swim in the bonus final of the 200 free at the Big Ten meet, placing 19th overall ... Also competed in the 500 free (43rd) and the 100 free (50th) at the conference meet ... Finished fourth in the 200 free and sixth in the mile at the six-team TYR Invite ... Won the consolation final of the 200 IM and the bonus final of the 500 free at the TYR ... Ranks third all-time in NU history in the 1,650 free and is part of the second-best 800 free relay squad in school annals ... Took 14th at the Big Ten meet with a 15:23.43 in the 1,650 free ... Swam in three different events at the Big Ten Championships, including an NCAA `B' time of 4:24.56 to finish 22nd in the 500 free . . . Secured a fourth-place finish in the 200 free at the TYR Invitational (11/21) while recording two other top-five placings ... Won the 500 free against Carthage (1/10) ... Swam to second-place finishes in the 500 free at Notre Dame (1/16), the 1,000 free against UIC/Chicago (11/15) and the 200 fly against Carthage ...
