Northwestern honors six member Senior Class with dominating performances
2014-15: Senior sprinter in primarily the backstroke and butterfly events … Ranked fourth in the 100 free and fifth in the 100 back on Northwestern’s top times list … Swam the butterfly leg on NU’s top medley relays of the year, both of which came at the Big Ten Championships … The 200 medley relay ranked third and the 400 medley relay ranked fifth in NU history in those respective events … Swam a career-best 45.00 in the prelims of the 100 free at the Big Ten Championships to qualify for the bonus final, where he placed 21st … Also competed in the 100 fly (32nd) and 100 back (34th) at the B1G meet … Made four championship finals and three top-three finishes at Northwestern’s home TYR Invitational (11/21-11/23) … Took second in the 50 back, third in the 100 back and third in the 50 fly in addition to a seventh-place effort in the 100 fly at the TYR … Had two second-place finishes in the 100 back and 100 fly during a double dual sweep of UIC and Oakland (10/25) and in a dual meet at Iowa (1/24) … Took second in the 100 back and third in the 100 fly against a tough pair of opponents, No. 23 Minnesota and Purdue, to conclude the regular season (1/30-1/31) … Won the 200 back on Senior Night against Milwaukee (1/16) … All-told, scored dual meet points for the Wildcats during the year with nine top-five event finishes.
2013-14: Posted five NU top times in the 100 back, 100 fly, 100 free, 200 medley relay and 400 medley relay ... Competed at the Big Ten Championships in the 100 fly, 100 back and 100 free ... Scored three points total for NU in the Consolation Final finishing 15th in the 100 fly, posting b cut time of 47.82 and the first overall NU top time ... Finished 16th in the 100 back and first NU with a B cut time of 47.99 ... Finished 55th overall and fifth for NU in the 100 free with a time of 45.90 ... Competed in the TYR Finals finishing third in the 100 fly, second in the 100 back, fist in the 50 fly, and second in the 50 back ... Finished second in the 100 back vs. E. Mich./Illinois (10/18) ... Finished first in the 100 back, second in the 100 free, and second in the 100 fly vs. WKU (10/25) ... Finished fifth in the 100 back and eight in the 100 fly vs. Purdue, OSU (11/8) ... Finished first in the 100 back and the 100 fly, and sixth in the 100 free vs. UIC/Wyoming (11/9)... 2012-13: Recorded top times for Northwestern in four different individual events in addition to three relay races ... Tallied NU's top 100 Fly time with an NCAA B qualifying 48.00 in the Big Ten Championships ... Swam the secind best Wildcats time in the 100 back, with a time of 48.80 in the Big Ten Championships ... His 200 back time of 1:53.79 against Eastern Michigan was the fifth best for NU during the season ... Swam 1:55.11 in the TYR Invitational in the 200 IM, which ranked fifth best for the 'Cats on the season ... In the Big Ten Championships, he competed in the 800 free relay, 200 medley relay and 400 medley relay ... Relay teams 1:26.57 time in the 200 Medley Relay was a NCAA B qualifer, which was fourth best in school history.
2011-12: Ranked on Northwestern's top times list in three different events ... Was first in the 100 fly, second in the 100 back and fourth in the 200 back ... Qualified for the consolation final of the 100 fly at the Big Ten Championships with a season-best 48.38 in the prelims, ending up 16th after an evening 49.23 to score a point for NU ... Also made the bonus final of the 100 back, taking 19th place, and competed in the 200 back (37th) at the conference meet ... Recorded six top-three dual meet finishes during the regular season, led by a second-place effort in the 200 back versus UIC and North Dakota (11/12) ... Qualified for three championship finals at Northwestern's own five-time TYR Invitational (11/18-11/20), finishing third in the 50 back, fourth in the 100 back and fifth in the 200 back ... Also claimed 11th place in the 100 fly at the TYR.
