    Career: Bruno Barbic transferred to Northwestern as a junior in 2006 and earned one national championship, four Big Ten championships and nine All-America honors in just two years as a Wildcat ... Teamed with Matt Grevers, Kyle Bubolz and Mike Alexandrov, Barbic was part of the 2007 NCAA Champion 400 medley relay that finished in a then-NCAA record time of 3:04.40 ... Barbic won the 100 freestyle at the Big Ten Championships in 2007 ... Two-time All-Big Ten first team ... Graduated owning four Northwestern school records in addition to his NCAA mark in the 400 medley relay.

    2007-08: Senior is the anchor of Northwestern's sprint free corps ... Earned four All-America honors at the NCAA Championships, bringing his total at NU to nine and his career total to 10 ... Finished 10th in the 50 free at the NCAA meet, swimming a 19.54 in the finals after qualifying for the consolation heat with a season-best 19.53 in the prelims ... Finished 13th in the 100 free, swimming a 43.34 in the finals after turning in a 43.12 in the prelims to qualify 14th overall ... Member of NU's 200 free relay that finished 10th and 400 free relay that took seventh as the highest-finish Big Ten relay in the event at the NCAA Championships ... Qualified first overall during preliminary heats in the 50 free at the Big Ten Championships, tying with teammate Kyle Bubolz with an NCAA `B' cut of 19.66 ...     2006-07: Swam the anchor leg of the 'Cats 400 medley relay that won the NCAA Championship and set an NCAA record time of 3:04.40 ... Qualified for the first individual championship heat of his collegiate career in the 100 free, finishing seventh with a career-best time of 42.79 ... Earned honorable mention All-America honors in the 50 free with a 12th-place performance and a time of 19.73 in the finals ... Also swam on the Wildcats' school-record-setting relays in the 200 and 400 free at the NCAA Championships which finished fourth and third, respectively ... Earned five All-America honors to push his career total to six ... Provided Northwestern with a reliable scoring option in the sprint freestyle events ... Swam Northwestern's fastest time of the year in the 50 free with a 19.40 during the prelims of the Big Ten Championships ... Finished as the runner-up in the event to teammate Matt Grevers with a 19.75 in the finals ... Won the Big Ten title in the 100 free with a time of 43.14 ...     2005-06: (at Washington) Broke the Washington school record in the 50 free with a time of 19.52 in the preliminary heat of the event at the NCAA Championships ... Went on to swim a 19.78 in the finals and finish in 13th place ... Also competed in the 100 free, finishing 20th with a time of 43.66 ... Placed 13th in the 50 free (19.91) and sixth in the 100 free (43.58) at the Pac-10 Championships.

    2004-05: (at Washington) Swam in three events for the Huskies ... Placed first 12 times during the season ...Competed in three individual events for Washington at the Pac-10 Championships ... Broke the school record with NCAA B-cut qualifying times in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 19.81 and in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 43.48 ... Helped his 200 and 400-yard freestyle relay teams break school records at the Pac-10 Championships with times of 1:21.22 and 2:58.14 respectively ... Swam on the 800-yard freestyle relay team at the Pac-10 Championships, producing a season-high NCAA B-cut time of 6:33.21 ... Swam anchor position on the 400-yard medley relay team at the Pac-10 Championships that finished with a season high and NCAA B-cut qualifying time of 3:17.28 ... Competed at NCAA's.

    High School: Swam for PK Medvescak for 13 years ... Placed second at the 2003 European Junior Championships in the 4x100 freestyle ... Took third in the 50 freestyle and fourth in the 100 freestyle at the European Junior Championships in 2004 ... Placed first in the 50 freestyle at the Croatian Nationals in July of 2004 ... Took first in the 50, 100 and 200 freestyle at Croatian Nationals in February of 2004 ... Earned state champion honors numerous times in all age groups ...
