2012-13: Versatile distance swimmer who added depth for Northwestern across a number of strokes ... Academic All-Big Ten ... Ranked on NU's top times list in four different events ... Was third in the 1,000 free, fourth in the 400 IM and fifth in the 500 free and 200 fly ... Unable to compete at the Big Ten Championships ... Swam in six different events at Northwestern's own four-team TYR Invitational (11/16-11/18) ... Qualified for the championship final of the 400 IM, cutting more than 10 seconds off his seed time to take seventh place in 4:12.70 ... Won the TYR consolation final of the 500 free in a career-best 4:43.48 ... Also scored points at the TYR Invite in the 200 fly (11th), 200 breast (11th) and 200 free (14th) ... Won the TYR bonus final of the 200 IM ... Scored dual-meet points in three different meets, beginning at Northwestern's season-opening dual at Eastern Michigan (10/19) where he took fourth in the 1,000 free and fifth in the 500 free ... 2011-12: Ranked on Northwestern's top times list in four different events ... Was third in the 1,650 free and 400 IM and fourth in the 1,000 free and 200 fly ... Competed in the 400 IM (30th), 200 fly (31st) and 200 IM (52nd) at the Big Ten Championships ... Cut 9.48 seconds from his in-season 400 IM best to swim a career- best 4:00.75 in the 400 IM at the conference meet ... Also dropped more than 4.5 seconds from his in-season 200 fly time to card a 1:54.38 at the Big Ten meet ... Best dual-meet finish of the season was a second-place effort in the 1,000 free against Lewis and Carthage College (1/7) ...
