Northwestern honors six member Senior Class with dominating performances
2014-15: Strong freshman backstroke and butterfly competitor … Ranked on NU’s top times list in five different events following the season … Was second in the 200 back and fourth in the 100 back, 100 fly, 200 fly and 200 IM … Also swam with NU’s top 400 free and 800 free relays of the season, both of which competed at the Big Ten Championships … The 800 free relay was the second fastest in school history … Swam a career-best NCAA ‘B’ cut of 1:44.27 in the 200 back at the Big Ten Championships to qualify for the consolation final before ending up 16th overall to score a point for NU … Narrowly missed out on second swims in the 100 back and 100 fly, finishing 25th overall in the 100 back with a career-best and NCAA ‘B’ cut of 48.29 while his career-best 48.34 in the 100 fly was good for 26th position … Notched his first-career NCAA ‘B’ provisional qualifying time, a 1:46.33 to win the event at NU’s home TYR Invitational (11/21-11/23) … Also ranks second for NU in the 100 back and 200 fly, third in the 200 IM and fifth in the 100 fly … Led off Northwestern’s best 400 medley relay of the year … In addition to his win in the 200 back, made four additional championship finals at the TYR … Finished fourth in the 100 back, sixth in the 100 fly and 50 back, and seventh in the 200 IM … Won the 100 back, 200 back and 200 IM in a season-opening dual-meet win at Eastern Michigan (10/16) … Captured the 100 fly during a double-dual sweep of UIC and Oakland (10/25) … Overall had dual meet victories in four different events and 17 total top-five dual race finishes … In his best event, the 200 back, had second-place double-dual finishes among strong opponents in meets versus Michigan and Notre Dame (1/10) and Minnesota and Purdue (1/31).
