EVANSTON, Ill. - The Northwestern men's golf team gets its fall season underway this weekend as it competes in the Wolf Run Intercollegiate hosted by Indiana University. The event will be held Saturday and Sunday at Wolf Run Golf Club in Zionsville, Ind.

Competition on the par-71, 7,195-yard course will consist of 54 holes with 36 holes being played Saturday followed by 18 holes Sunday.

The challenging 16-team field is comprised of Arkansas, Ball State, Denver, Eastern Michigan, Indiana, IUPUI, Kent State, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Northwestern, Penn State, UNC-Greensboro and Virginia.

Northwestern, Indiana and Michigan are each currently receiving votes in the Golf World/Nike Golf Coaches' Poll.

The Wildcats return a solid lineup for the 2007-08 season, including freshman Ravi Patel who last month became the youngest player to win the Illinois State Amateur Championship, while fellow freshman Josh Dupont and sophomore David Lipsky each performed well at the U.S. Amateur.
