EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern will host the 16th Windon Memorial Classic Sunday and Monday, Sept. 23-24, at Skokie Country Club in Glencoe, Ill. The 15-team field will play 36 holes Sunday before the final 18 holes on Monday morning.

Live results will be available at Golfstat.com while head coach Pat Goss will provide live coaching updates from the course via Twitter @NUGolf_Live.

In addition to Northwestern, Big Ten schools Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State and Indiana are in the field, with Florida Atlantic, UC Davis, Eastern Michigan, Coastal Carolina, Marquette, Tennessee, DePaul, Harvard, Lamar and Toledo rounding out the field.

Skokie Country Club is laden with great golf tradition, playing to a 7,081-yard, par-71 layout designed by Donald Ross and established in 1897. The course has hosted the U.S. Open, the Western Open, the 1998 USGA Senior Amateur and the 2010 Western Amateur. This is the third year Skokie will host the Windon after also opening its doors in 2006 and 2009.

Michigan has fielded the medalist in each of the last two Windon Memorials, with Lion Kim holing a 40-foot putt on the 54th hole to win by one in 2010 and Matt Thompson besting a field with several of the world's top amateur players including Patrick Cantlay and Ethan Tracy in 2011. NU All-American and 2012 graduate Eric Chun was runner-up in 2011, the eighth time a Wildcat has won or finished second in Windon history.

The Windon has an illustrious history, with current PGA TOUR members Luke Donald, Joe Ogilvie, Tiger Woods, Gary Woodland and Ben Curtis finishing as runners-up in the event. Donald and current PGA TOUR members Hunter Mahan and Colt Knost are past champions.
