EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern golfers Jennifer Hong (Windermere, Fla./The First Academy) and Chris Wilson (Dublin, Ohio/Dublin Coffman) were named Cleveland Golf All-America Scholars today by their respective national golf coaches associations.

The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar teams are some of the most stringent of all college athletics. The minimum cumulative grade point average is 3.50 and student-athletes must have competed in at least 50 percent of their regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year.

Hong and Wilson are both repeat selections. Hong, who has competed two years for the Wildcats, finished in the top 30 of eight of the 10 tournaments she played in 2006-07. Through two years, she has a career stroke average of 76.48.

Wilson, a two-time All-Big Ten honoree and the 2006 Big Ten medalist, was one of five finalists for the 2007 Byron Nelson Award. He led the Wildcats with seven top-20 finishes this past year. His final career stroke average of 74.36 is the seventh-best on NU's all-time stroke average list.
