Format: 54 holes (36 holes Saturday and 18 holes Sunday)

EVANSTON, Ill. -- After spending last weekend in what turned out to be the cold and wet deserts of Arizona, Northwestern will travel back to the comforts of the Midwest as its prepares for the Illini Spring Classic in Urbana, Ill.
Hosted by Illinois, the 54-hole tournament gets underway with an 8 a.m. shotgun start for 36 holes of play on Saturday and wraps up with another shotgun start on Sunday. The Classic will be played at Stone Creek Golf Club, a 7,017-yard, par-72 course.
Thirteen teams will be teeing it up at the Classic, including nine from the Big Ten. No. 58 Northwestern, No. 13 Illinois, No. 35 Indiana, No. 40 Michigan, No. 157 Michigan State, No. 71 Minnesota, No. 25 Ohio State, No. 73 Penn State and No. 193 Wisconsin all will face each other in consecutive tournaments as the Big Ten Championships begin April 29. Rounding out the field from other conferences in the Illini Spring Classic are Akron, Creighton, Illinois State and Xavier.
Keeping Up With the 'Cats
This tournament is the second hosted by Illinois that Northwestern will participate in this season. At the Fighting Illini/Olympia Fields Country Club Invitational last September, Eric Chun finished the tournament strong with a 2-over 212, good for a seventh-place finish overall.
