EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern's spring season begins Feb. 14-15 at the Concession Golf Club in Bradenton, Fla., with the sixth playing of the Big Ten Match Play Championship. NU is a three-time champion of the event, capturing first each year from 2010 to 2012.

Northwestern is the No. 3 overall seed in the tournament that features all 12 Big Ten men's golf programs. The Wildcats will have a bye into the quarterfinal round Friday afternoon, Feb. 14, where they will face the winner of an opening round match between No. 6 seed Indiana and No. 11 seed Wisconsin. The semifinal and final rounds will be played Saturday, Feb. 15.

The current Big Ten Match Play format sees coaches submit a roster of six players prior to the event and choose a five-player lineup for each match from that group. Tournament team and individual seeds are set by final fall Golfstat.com rankings. The complete bracket is available by downloading the .pdf at the top of this page. Live scoring will be provided by the America Junior Golf Association (AJGA).

The Wildcats are 16-2 combined in the previous five editions of the Match Play Championship with their only losses coming in the quarterfinals of the inaugural event and in last year's staging.

Northwestern is coming off a strong fall season that saw it win two team championships: the Windon Memorial Classic and the Rod Myers Invitational. Senior All-American Jack Perry (Santa Barbara, Calif./Santa Barbara) was a co-medalist at the Rod Myers, one of four top-10s for Perry in the fall.

All seven Wildcats on the roster will travel to Bradenton for this tournament, where the six players chosen to be eligible to compete in the team lineup will be named by head coach Pat Goss.
