Support The First Tee of Greater Chicago and Receive a Golf Lesson This Month!
EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern head men's golf coach Pat Goss is leading a contingent of Wildcats who are participating in the Illinois PGA's Holiday Golf Teach-a-thon through the end of January.
Goss along with current NU volunteer assistant coach Sam McKenney and former Wildcat head men's golf coach Jeff Mory are giving their time to the charity effort. The Wildcat trio will donate 100 percent of their lesson fees to the First Tee of Greater Chicago.
The Teach-a-thon allows golfers to sign up for a lesson to keep their skills sharp throughout the winter while supporting local charities. The Illinois PGA Foundation received a joint $10,000 matching grant pledge from D.P. Kelly & Associates and Resource1 to match dollar for dollar up to the first $10,000 PGA Professionals raise for community organizations.
For more information and to sign up for a lesson with Goss -- a Golf Magazine Top 100 Teacher -- or McKenney, link to Golfgives.org and register. Mory also will have some available times; contact him directly at jeffmory@aol.com to sign up.
