Men's Golf in Sixth Place at NCAA Central Regional

EVANSTON, Ill. -- The Northwestern men's golf team is in sixth place after the second day of action at the 1998 NCAA Central Regional in San Antonio, Texas. NU fired a 6-over-par 290 to give them a two-round total four-over-par 572. NU is eight shots behind tournament leader Houston. Senior Matt Seppanen is tied for first place at the tournament after firing another 3-under-par 68. Freshman Luke Donald is in a seven-way tie for 10th with a 1-over 72 and Josh Habig is tied for 29th after a 3-over 74. Jess Daley is tied for 99th with a 76 and Erik Ciotti is tied for 103rd after shooting 79.
The 'Cats are back in action tomorrow for the third round. NU, grouped with Minnesota and Texas A&M, tees off at 7:48 a.m. The top 10 teams advance to the NCAA Championships later this month in Albuquerque, N.M.
