NU Men's Golf Takes Second Place at Kepler Intercollegiate
Luke Donald Finishes in Third Place Individually
EVANSTON, Ill. -- The Northwestern men's golf team finished as tournament runner-up at this weekend's Kepler Intercollegiate Golf Tournament at the Scarlet Course in Columbus, Ohio. NU posted rounds of 299-291-288 for a team score of 878, while host Ohio State won the event at 863.
Individually for NU, freshman Luke Donald (Buckinghamshire, England) had his best tournament of the season, shooting rounds of 75-70-70 to finish in third place at one-under-par 215, five strokes behind tournament champion Tee McCabe of Miami (Ohio). NU sophomore Jess Daley (Kent, Wash./Kentwood) also had an excellent tournament, tying for eighth place at three-over-par 219.
Team and NU's individual scores appear below. Next up for the men's golf team is the Wolverine Invitational, held May 2-3 in Ann Arbor, Mich.
