2013-14: Competed in 10 of Northwestern's 11 regular-season tournaments as a member of the team lineup ... Had NU's third-best full-season stroke average with a 74.65 mark ... Academic All-Big Ten ... Best finish of the year was a 16th-place effort at the Rod Myers Invitational (Oct. 12-13) where he helped the Wildcats win the team championship ... Opened the Rod Myers with a 2-under 70, a tally he matched in the final round of the Erin Hills Intercollegiate (Oct. 8) ... Also had a 1-under 69 in the second round of the Gifford Collegiate at Pelican Hill (Nov. 5) ... Finished 2-1 at the Big Ten Match Play Championship to open the spring season, defeating Indiana's Max Kollin in the quarterfinal round and Steven Ihm of Iowa in the third-place match ... Concluded the Big Ten Championships with a final-round 3-under 69, tied for the best score of the tournament, to leap up into the top-20 with a 19th-place finish.
2012-13: Competed in eight stroke play events and the Big Ten Match Play Championship as a member of the team lineup ... Ranked third on the team with a 74.46 stroke average and seven rounds at par or better ... After a rough opening 6-over 78 at the Puerto Rico Classic (2/17-2/19), bounced back to shot 3-under 69 and a season-best 4-under 68 to rebound all the way up to a 22nd-place finish ... Those scores kick started a strong spring season that included two top-20 finishes ... Was at or below par in every round of the Fresno State Lexus Golf Classic (3/4-3/5), opening with a 72 before carding a 3-under 69 and a 2-under 70 to place a career-best 11th ... Closed the regular season with a 12th-place result that helped NU to the team title at its own Spring Invitational (4/15-4/16) ... Twice recorded second-round even-par 71s during the fall, first at NU's own Windon Memorial Classic and again at the Gifford Collegiate at CordeValle ... Best fall finish was a 33rd-place result at the season-opening Inverness Intercollegiate ... Outside of collegiate competition, advanced out of U.S. Open local qualifying at Northmoor County Club in Highland Park, Ill., with a t-5 69 before winning a playoff on the second hole to move on to the Sectional qualifier (5/6).
2011-12: Competed in eight Northwestern stroke play tournaments, five as a member of the team lineup and three times as an individual while also playing in the Big Ten Match Play Championship ... Had six rounds of par or better and three in the 60s ... Fired a 2-under 69 in his first collegiate round at the Marshall Invitational (Sept. 12-13) ... Finished a fall-season-best 29th at that tournament ... Shot a 2-under 70 in the second round of The Prestige at PGA WEST (Oct. 10) ... In Northwestern's match play win over then-No. 1 UCLA on October 13 at Evanston Golf Club, earned a half point with a halved match against Alex Kim ... Playing as an individual at the NYX Hoosier Invitational, fired a second-round 6-under 65 to match Eric Chun's NU-best score of the season and help himself to a season-best15th-place individual finish.
High School: During the summer of 2010, played his final five tournaments with a stroke average of 70.6, shooting 70 or better in nine of 15 rounds ... Has been the medalist in 34 of 44 high school events ... Grossmont Hills All-League first team in 2008, 2009 and 2010 while earning All-CIF San Diego Section first team in 2009 and 2010 ... HP Scholastic All-America Team in 2010 ... Qualified for the CIF in all of his high school seasons ... Lead high school to CIF in 2008 and to the league title in 2009 ... Ranked second in his class of 560 ... AP Scholar ... Honor roll in all years of high school.
