Wildcats finish fifth; Jack Perry collects fourth-straight top-10 result
Fall 2013: Played in all five of Northwestern's fall tournaments as a member of the team lineup ... Fired four scores of par or better in the fall ... Best finish was a 16th-place effort at NU's own Windon Memorial Classic (Sept. 22-23) where he opened with consecutive 1-under 71s in the first and second rounds to help NU to the team championship ... His even-par 72 in the second round of the Rod Myers Invitational (Oct. 12) helped Northwestern to another team championship.
2012-13: Played in all 10 of NU's regular season events, appearing in the team lineup in eight, including all five of Northwestern's fall tournaments ... Also played at the NCAA Baton Rouge Regional ... Concluded the year with the fourth-best stroke average on the team (74.76) ... Academic All-Big Ten ... Competing as an individual at the Northwestern Spring Invitational (4/15-4/16), finished a career-best 12th place at 5-over 221 ... Finished 2-1 at the Big Ten Match Play Championship in February with a big 7 and 5 win over Michigan's Miguel Echavarria and another huge 6 and 4 victory against Indiana's Hugo Menendez ... Matched his career-best score with a 2-under 69 in the second round of the Gifford Collegiate at CordeValle (11/6), eventually finishing 13th overall in the tournament at 3-over 216 ... Carded an even-par 71 in the second round of the season opening Inverness Intercollegiate (9/17) ... Began the U.S. Intercollegiate with a 1-over 71 in the opening round, his best total of the spring season (3/28).
2011-12: Competed in 10 of Northwestern's 11 tournaments, compiling a 75.16 stroke average with four rounds at par or better and two scores in the 60s ... Had a huge 5 and 4 win over Matt Pitazzoto in the Wildcats' match play win over then-No. 1 UCLA on October 13 at Evanston Golf Club ... Best finish of the fall came at the Marshall Invitational, where a second round 2-under 69 helped Lavin to a 29th-place finish ... Led Northwestern with a 1-under 215 (75-71-69) at The Prestige at PGA West (Oct. 9-11) ... Earned the first top-20 finish of his career with an 18th-place effort at the NYX Hoosier Invitational (April 7-8).
High School: Advanced out of local qualifying for the U.S. Open for the second-straight year with a fourth-place 73 at Orchard Valley Country Club in Aurora, Ill., in 2011 ... Finished third at the 2010 Illinois Open, shooting a 66 in the final round to end up one stroke away from low amateur status ... Won the 2010 American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) Apawamis tournament ... Advanced to the 2010 U.S. Open sectional qualifying round ... Holds all of Deerfield High School's golf records, including best 18-hole average (70.1), best nine-hole average (34.0) and low nine-hole match score (5-under 31) ... Has finished in the top-10 in the state in all of his high school seasons, earning three all-state honors ... Was 10th in the state in 2008, second in 2009 and third in 2010 ...
