Best result of the year was a fifth-place effort at the regular-season-ending Northwestern Spring Invitational (4/15-4/16) where he opened and closed with collegiate-best 3-under 69s en route to a fifth-place 2-under 214 to help NU to the team title ... His 69s were part of identical 11-under 277 team scores for NU, at the time tied for the 10th best single-round team totals in school history ... Halved both of his matches at the Big Ten Match Play Championship in early February ... Began the Puerto Rico Classic (2/17-2/19) with a 4-over 76 before coming back to card identical 1-under 71s in each of the last two rounds ... Personal: Born Josh Jamieson, son of Laurie and Susan Jamieson ... Grew up playing all of St. Andrews' links courses including the famed Old Course where he works as a caddy ... Great grandfather Laurie Ayton and great uncle Alex Ayton both spent time as the head professional at Evanston Golf Club ... The Junior Club trophy at St. Andrews is called the Ayton Trophy after Alex presented it to the Club in 1947.
