    B1G Comeback Gives NU Opening Round Win at B1G Match Play

    Northwestern comes from behind to defeat Indiana and advance to the quarterfinal round

    Fall 2014: Competed in all four of Northwestern's fall events, leading the Wildcats in two of them ... Ranked second on the team with a 72.55 stroke average in the fall, compiling two top-20 finishes and one top-10 ... Finished sixth at the Erin Hills Intercollegiate (Oct. 5-7), opening and closing with even-par 72s at the future home of the 2017 U.S. Open ... Named the Big Ten Golfer of the Week for his performance at Erin Hills ... Opened the Gifford Collegiate (Nov. 3-5) with an even-par 71 to help Northwestern to a fifth-place finish among a strong field.

Had one top-20 finish with a 13th-place effort at the Erin Hills Intercollegiate (Oct. 6-8) where he closed with a 3-under 69 ... Shattered his previous career-best total by five strokes and recorded one of just eight scores of 64 or better in Northwestern program history when he fired a 6-under 64 in the second round of the Gifford Collegiate at Pelican Hill (Nov. 4) ... The tally came with a 6-under 29 on his second nine, believed to be the first 29 in NU history ... Finished 1-2 at the Big Ten Match Play Championship to begin the spring season, defeating Will Seger of Indiana in NU's quarterfinal match ... Member of NU's team lineup at the NCAA San Antonio Regional (May 15-17) ... During the summer, won six matches to advance to the semifinal of the Scottish Amateur Championship, carding 29 birdies and an eagle during his run through the 256-man draw ... Best result of the year was a fifth-place effort at the regular-season-ending Northwestern Spring Invitational (4/15-4/16) where he opened and closed with collegiate-best 3-under 69s en route to a fifth-place 2-under 214 to help NU to the team title ... His 69s were part of identical 11-under 277 team scores for NU, at the time tied for the 10th best single-round team totals in school history ... Halved both of his matches at the Big Ten Match Play Championship in early February ...
