HOUSTON, Texas -- Northwestern put the finishing touches on its preparations for the 2011 Meineke Car Care Bowl of Texas Friday, by participating in the bowl luncheon and news conference. Head coach Pat Fitzgerald and several Wildcat student-athletes addressed a bowl-record luncheon crowd of 880 before meeting with members of the media.
Later Friday, the team had the opportunity to walk onto the field at Houston's Reliant Stadium, host of Saturday's game, and take the official team photo at the stadium.
Northwestern will take on Texas A&M in the Meineke Car Care Bowl of Texas at 11 a.m. CT Saturday. The game is being televised by ESPN and streamed online at ESPN3.com. WGN AM and WNUR FM will each provide coverage of the game as well.
Buffalo Wild Wings of Evanston to Host Watch Party
The Wildcats are excited to see all of the fans decked out in purple in Houston for the Meineke Car Care Bowl of Texas! But those Wildcat faithful not in Houston can join other NU fans around the country at special locations to watch the 'Cats take on Texas A&M at 11 a.m. CT. Fans in the Chicago area are invited to visit the Buffalo Wild Wings location at 1719 Maple Avenue in Evanston, the official Watch Party location for all Wildcat Football games.
Fans watching the game at Buffalo Wild Wings in Evanston can arrive beginning at 10:30 a.m. to ensure the best seats in the house for the game. An event emcee will be on hand for the game to keep the party going. Don't miss out on your chance to win prizes in special trivia contest throughout the game. Fans of all ages are welcome at Buffalo Wild Wings for the game, so put on your purple and stop by to cheer on the 'Cats this Saturday!
