The Northwestern Wildcats are headed to the Vitalis Sun Bowl, and you are invited to join in the pre-bowl excitement!

Northwestern Athletics and the Northwestern Alumni Association (NAA) invite you to a FREE Sun Bowl Preview Happy Hour sponsored by the El Paso Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB). Join us just prior to the Wildcats men's basketball game against UIC on Wednesday, December 14th.

What: Sun Bowl Preview Happy Hour

Where: Bluestone, 1932 Central Street, just 4 blocks west of Welsh-Ryan Arena

    When: 4 to 6 p.m., Wednesday, December 14

Drinks and light appetizers will be provided compliments of the El Paso CVB. You'll get a chance to learn more about the city of El Paso and the first-class hospitality and entertainment available for the Vitalis Sun Bowl. Northwestern Alumni Association staff will be on hand to answer questions about the NAA Sun Bowl Tour package, as well as game day and tailgate packages.

The event will wrap up in time to make it over to Welsh-Ryan for the Wildcats' men's basketball game against the UIC Flames. Before the game, stop by the El Paso CVB table in the lobby of Welsh-Ryan Arena to register for your chance to win a trip to the Sun Bowl, also compliments of the El Paso CVB. The winner will be announced at halftime. Tickets for the Northwestern vs. UIC men's basketball game still remain and are available by calling 847-491-CATS or at NUsports.com.

The Northwestern Athletic Department also will be sponsoring a Holiday Book Drive at the game. Bring new or slightly used children's books to the game on the 14th and receive 1/2 price ticket ($10) to the UIC game and a coupon for a FREE ticket to the DePauw game (Dec. 23 at 7 p.m.). All proceeds will benefit Foster Reading Center, which is focused primarily on children in grades K-5.
